B1 Licensed Engineer
B1 licensed engineers are the backbone of every maintenance operation — certifying mechanical work on airframes, engines and electrical systems. Avianeer places B1.1, B1.2, B1.3 and B1.4 engineers with Part-145 organisations across Europe, the UK and the Gulf region, on both project contracts and permanent positions.
Typical roles we fill
- Line maintenance certifying staff (CRS authorisation)
- Base maintenance / heavy check teams (A-, C- and D-checks)
- AOG and field support engineers
- Modification and retrofit programmes (cabin, connectivity, P2F conversions)
- Lead / supervisor positions in Part-145 environments
What our clients typically require
- EASA or UK CAA Part-66 B1 licence (B1.1 turbine aeroplanes most in demand)
- Type ratings — current demand centres on A320 family (CEO/NEO), A330, B737 (NG/MAX), B777, B787; other types project-dependent
- Recent experience in a Part-145 organisation
- EWIS, FTS and human factors training up to date
- Fluent English; EU/UK work eligibility or willingness to relocate (visa support available on selected Gulf projects)
Contract types
Project contracts (typically 3–12 months), temp-to-perm, and direct permanent placements. Rates depend on qualifications, experience and location — we’re transparent about this from the first call.
